Masoumeh Bahrami is an Iranian photographer, visual artist, and musician born near the Caspian Sea in northern Iran.

Her relationship with photography began in her teenage years, when her mother brought her a camera as a gift. At first, this camera became a way of seeing the world around her; over time, it became a language for expressing the unspoken.

Working with photography, personal archives, long-term storytelling, and music, Bahrami explores memory, landscape, and the stories that endure across generations. Growing up beside the Caspian Sea and witnessing the gradual transformation of its environment has deeply shaped her relationship with images and the natural world.

Her projects move between intimate narratives and collective experiences, exploring family histories, the lives of women, and the fragile connections between people and the places they inhabit.

In her work, images become spaces for remembering, reconstructing, and preserving what is at risk of being forgotten.

She currently lives and works between Paris and Iran.
